OLG says the jackpot-winning ticket from the October 28, 2025 draw has not been claimed, and the one-year deadline is nearly here.
A $40 million prize with no owner yet
Almost a year ago, a Lotto Max ticket sold in Ontario matched all the numbers in the Tuesday, October 28, 2025 draw for a $40 million jackpot. According to OLG, Ontario's lottery operator, nobody has stepped forward to claim it.
Sold somewhere in Grey County
OLG says the ticket was bought from an authorized lottery retailer in Grey County, a largely rural and lakeside part of Ontario. The operator says it does not know who bought the ticket.
The clock runs out October 28, 2026
Lotto Max prizes must be claimed within a year of the draw, which makes October 28, 2026 the final day. OLG is asking anyone who thinks they might be holding the ticket to check the Unclaimed Tickets page on OLG.ca or call 1-800-387-0098. A review process will confirm rightful ownership before any prize is paid.
What happens if no one comes forward
If the ticket expires, OLG says the $40 million will go back to players through future bonus games or promotions.
