The winning Quick Pick was sold at a Murphy USA station on South Rockwood in Cabot, Arkansas, for the Powerball drawing on December 24, 2025. Arkansas normally lets lottery winners of more than $500,000 stay anonymous for three years. But Act 889 of 2021 carves out an exception for elected officials and certain close relatives, including siblings, limiting their confidentiality to six months. Because the winner is a brother of an elected official, his name became public once that window closed. In mid-July 2026 the winner was identified as Tracy L. Hartwick of Cabot, a brother of North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick.

According to reporting on the lottery''s records, Tracy Hartwick assigned himself 94% of the prize, with 3% going to Timothy Allen Hartwick of Scott - another brother - and the remaining 3% to a person whose identity was not disclosed. State taxes were withheld at 3.9% and federal taxes at 24%.
